Data We Collect

We collect minimal data needed to operate the Service. This may include anonymous analytics, browser-provided values (for calculations), optional inputs you choose to submit, and server-side technical data such as your IP address. We do not sell personal information.

IP addresses are used server-side to help secure the Service, diagnose abuse, and (when permitted) derive an approximate location for localization and analytics purposes. Location is inferred from IP — we do not access precise GPS coordinates from your device unless you explicitly provide them.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies for essential site functionality and to power anonymous analytics. Cookies enhance performance and help us understand feature usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may be affected.

Analytics may receive aggregated or pseudonymised location data (e.g., country/region) derived from IP addresses. We limit the granularity of location data we retain for analytics and use it only to improve the Service.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (e.g., analytics providers) that have their own privacy policies. We limit data shared with these services and only share what is necessary to provide functionality.

When we share data with third parties we restrict the scope to what is necessary (for example, aggregated analytics and non-identifying location metadata). Third parties may also log IP addresses as part of normal operation — please review their privacy policies for details.

Retention & Security

We retain logs and derived metadata (including IP-derived location) only as long as needed for security, debugging and analytics. Access to logs is limited to authorized personnel and we employ reasonable technical measures to protect stored data.

Choices & Contact

If you have concerns about IP-based location or tracking, you can contact us to request deletion of logs relating to your IP, or to ask questions about how we process location data. Email hello@simplecalculator.ai and include as much context as possible to help us locate the relevant logs.

Note: blocking or obfuscating your IP (for example via a VPN) may affect regional content and analytics accuracy.
